Reading depends on the source. This is the honest version, so you know what an answer can and cannot draw on.
| Source | What Nucel reads |
|---|---|
| Web pages and articles | The text is extracted, then summarised, tagged and indexed. |
| X posts and threads | The text of the post or thread is extracted, then summarised and indexed. |
| Reddit and Hacker News | The post and its text are extracted, then summarised and indexed. |
| Substack and Medium | The essay or post text is extracted, then summarised and indexed. |
| YouTube | The title and channel only. Nucel does not read the transcript, so no answer quotes a video's words. |
| Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn | Whatever the share carries, usually the caption and the link. |
| Images, slides and video frames | Not read. Nucel does no OCR and no vision, so text inside a picture is not searchable. |
| Pages that cannot be read | Login walls and thin pages get no AI summary. Nucel says so, rather than inventing one. |
